Decibel Studios built the AI Music Player app. This SERVICE is provided by Decibel Studios at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
AI Music Player is an on-device music player. Your music library, playlists, playback history, equalizer profiles, and per-device settings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server operated by Decibel Studios.

Non-premium users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Premium users (monthly, annual, or lifetime) do not see any ads, and the ad SDK does not request data for them.
To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may process information including your advertising ID (AD_ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser identifiers, app activity (which screens an ad was shown on), and basic device characteristics. The full list of third-party ad partners that may receive this data is published and maintained by Google here: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or a US state with applicable privacy law, on first launch the app shows a consent form managed by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). The form asks whether you consent to personalized advertising and to the third-party data processing described above.
You can change your ad-personalization choice at any time. Inside the app, open Settings → Help & FAQ → EU Privacy Options to re-open Google's consent form and update your selections. This entry is only displayed in regions where the consent form applies. The choice you make there takes effect on subsequent ad requests.
The app can fetch synced or plain lyrics for tracks that don't already ship with embedded lyrics. When this feature is enabled, the app sends the track title, artist, album, and track duration as query parameters to the public LrcLib API at https://lrclib.net. No advertising ID, account ID, or personally identifying data is sent.
Fetched lyrics are cached on your device so the same track is not re-queried on subsequent plays. You can disable lyrics fetching at any time from Settings → Music Player → Lyrics; when disabled, no network requests are made to LrcLib.
If you enable Last.fm scrobbling in Settings → Music Player → Integrations, AI Music Player broadcasts now-playing and scrobble events as Android system broadcasts (com.android.music.metachanged / playstatechanged) so that any installed scrobbler app on your device (for example Pano Scrobbler, Simple Scrobbler) can pick them up and submit them to your scrobbling service of choice.
AI Music Player itself does not contact Last.fm, ListenBrainz, or any other scrobbling service directly, and does not store your scrobbling credentials. The broadcasts contain only track metadata (title, artist, album, duration, playback state). Scrobbling is off by default; turning it off immediately stops the broadcasts.
The app integrates the Google Cast SDK so you can stream playback to a Chromecast or other Cast-enabled receiver on your local network. When you tap the Cast button and choose a receiver, track metadata (title, artist, album art) and the audio stream are sent to that receiver through Google's Cast framework. If Google Play Services or the Cast SDK is unavailable on your device, the Cast button is hidden and no Cast-related data is exchanged. Use of the Cast SDK is governed by Google's Cast SDK Additional Developer Terms of Service linked above.
When AI Music Player is connected to Android Auto or an Android Automotive head unit, the app exposes its MediaSession (currently playing track, artist, album art, transport controls) to the car system so playback can be controlled from the car's display. No data beyond what is required for media browsing and transport control is exchanged with the car system, and the integration is inactive when the app is not connected to Auto.
The app provides a Backup & Restore feature that exports your saved equalizer profiles, player settings, and preferences to a JSON file of your choice on your device or a cloud-storage location you select (such as Google Drive). The app does not upload your backup data to any server controlled by Decibel Studios. Backup files contain only your local app configuration; no personally identifiable information is included.
The app includes a bundled database of headphone calibration profiles derived from the open-source AutoEq project. This database is shipped with the app and queried entirely on-device; no headphone selection or usage data is transmitted.
The app offers in-app purchases (Premium Monthly, Premium Annual, and Premium Lifetime) through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This may include information such as your device's IP address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app, time and date of usage, and other statistics.
This Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You can choose to accept or refuse these cookies and be notified when a cookie is being sent to your device.
